I started blogging over at Neroli Blossoms back in 2008. I was living in California, fresh from fashion school, and had it in my mind to start my own online clothing company. Life went a different direction, but Neroli Blossoms became my creative outlet and a chronicle of my life for many years.
Over the past few years I've felt that the blog no longer represented who I was or what I wanted my blog to be about. I tried making it over several times, but to no avail. I just felt as though I had outgrown it. It's like a favorite t-shirt or sweater that just doesn't fit anymore. You love it and all the memories it holds, and you can't imagine giving it up or throwing it away, yet it just doesn't fit. So you lovingly fold it up and store it away in the closet where you can bring it out every once in a while to smooth it out on the bed and reminisce over all the good times you had. Maybe you even try it on for old time's sake. But then you box it back up and get back to your life. That's what's happening with Neroli Blossoms. I used to love blogging there, but my life and my outlook on blogging had changed. So I'm starting a new chapter here.
My husband and I just bought a 1970s ranch in Arizona and are renovating it to make it our home. I have a passion for food, and a growing interest in wine. I love making things in all capacity -particularly sewing and crafting - and I enjoy sharing my how to's, in hopes that it helps someone else make something. I love looking for the little things in life to enjoy and I'm working on slowing down long enough to truly appreciate them.
Eat. Make. Decorate. Those are the big things where I find passion in my life right now, and I hope you join me on my adventure.
